In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Association of Private Practitioners Sabah (APPS) and Permai Polyclinics Group (PPG) jointly organised a subsidised breast cancer screening campaign at Permai Polyclinics Kota Kinabalu (PPG Headquarters) throughout September and October 2025.

The initiative enabled nearly 200 women in Kota Kinabalu to undergo affordable breast screening, promoting early detection and encouraging women to prioritise regular health check-ups.

As part of this meaningful collaboration, APPS President Dr. Devadas Pathiyil Ramankutty and PPG Co-Founder Datin Rachel Jeremiah presented a mock cheque of RM10,000 to Madam Christy Salazar, President of Kinabalu Pink Ribbon, during the organisation’s 15th Anniversary Dinner. The contribution symbolised both organisations’ continued commitment to supporting breast cancer patients and advancing community health awareness in Sabah.

This initiative was also strategically supported by IDS Med and KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital, whose partnership and collaboration helped make the campaign a success.

This event reflects PPG’s ongoing dedication to public health initiatives and APPS’s leadership in uniting private practitioners for meaningful social impact — working hand in hand with local NGOs and healthcare partners to bring lasting change to the community.
