Kota Kinabalu, Sabah – In the spirit of giving this festive season, Permai Polyclinics
successfully hosted a Christmas Charity Drive at Sri Pritchard Old Folks Home, bringing
healthcare, companionship and holiday cheer to the elderly community.

A team of 12 Permai Polyclinic staff members, led by Permai Polyclinics Group co-founder
Datin Rachel Jeremiah and Group General Manager, Datin Norsiah Kumar, spent the morning
personally greeting residents and sharing meaningful moments with them. As part of the
programme, Permai Polyclinics set up four nurse stations for blood taking, sponsored by
Pathlab Laboratory Kota Kinabalu, enabling the team to conduct 64 free health screenings
for residents.

This initiative aimed to provide accessible preventive healthcare while ensuring the residents
felt cared for and supported. In addition to the health screenings, Permai Polyclinic distributed
Christmas presents to all residents who participated, followed by a warm breakfast and
lunch shared together. Understanding that many elderly residents may not have family to
celebrate the holidays with, Permai also introduced a nail care station, offering residents a
chance to enjoy one-on-one interaction, conversation and personal care—simple gestures that
brought smiles and a sense of connection.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, Sticky Rice Travel Founder, Charles Ryan, volunteered as
Santa Claus for the morning, personally handing out gifts to residents and spreading laughter
throughout the home. The Christmas Charity Drive concluded with full hearts and full
stomachs, as the Sri Pritchard Old Folks Home community enjoyed a day filled with good food,
thoughtful gifts and shared laughter— leaving behind cherished memories and a renewed sense
of joy this holiday season. Permai Polyclinics remains committed to giving back to the
community and looks forward to continuing initiatives that promote health, compassion and
human connection.
