This Human Papilloma Virus Protection Programme aims to provide immunization to adolescent girls and women aged 13 to 20, especially from underprivileged backgrounds and those who have never been immunized. Women aged between 21 and 45 years old can also be granted this protection, subject to certain conditions. The goal is to eliminate cervical cancer, which is the third most common cancer among women in Malaysia.

In the state of Sabah, the implementation of this programme is led by the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) in collaboration with Yayasan Andante, Hospital Universiti Malaysia Sabah (HUMS), with the support of the Sabah State Health Department.(JKNS).

To ensure that this protection can reach a wider community and be accepted by the target groups of the programme, collaboration among various parties is necessary.

PERMAI POLYCLINICS, which has a network of clinics throughout Sabah, is working in partnership with the 3 agencies to play a significant role in the success of this program. This immunization protection is provided free of charge.
